Yes, campers will be sleeping with up to 3 other individuals in a room. Occupancy varies from week to week but the dorms are mostly full during the summer. Our Residence Life department assigns campers to rooms based on criteria: by gender, by age, by sport. Dorm houses are not co-ed and we will assign roommates within the same age and in most cases by the same sport. Assignments are subject to change.

If your child normally handles and administers their own medication, they can continue doing so at camp. If you wish to have our staff hold and administer the medication, our Athletic Trainer will be able to accommodate your needs.

For injury, we will initially have your child seen by our Athletic Trainer to determine the severity of the injury and steps for care. Depending on the case, the trainer will recommend a pause from training, taping, or sending your child to Health Services for further evaluation. Your child’s coaches will be made fully aware of the situation. For illness, your child can alert any SPIRE staff for assistance. During evening/night hours, they will see their House Parent for help. During the daytime and normal camp hours, your child should tell their coach or any Camps staff member. We will have your child seen by the Athletic Trainer on site and determine next steps of care.

IT IS FREE FOR PLAYERS

While being committed to promoting the positive development of a young person, SPIRE FC is also instilling an appreciation for personal health and fitness. In an organized and competitive environment, these young athletes gain positive experiences on and off the field.  Each child has the opportunity to improve technically and tactically as an individual player while also gaining valuable experience dealing with the successes and disappointments associated with working as a team with fellow peers.  In being part of a team and taking part in the SPIRE FC experience, children will further strengthen social and emotional skills dealing with peers, coaches and adults in various developmentally appropriate situations.

SPIRE FC is composed of directors and coaches that are empathetic, kind and understand the age specific developmental process of a student athlete. The staff is competitive, determined and dedicated to fostering a desire to learn that will challenge each child to achieve.

SPIRE FC promotes the positive development of an athlete by not only improving athletic ability, but also strengthening individual self-concept with firm and specific guidelines.  It is paramount for a club to communicate specific and clearly defined guidelines and standards so that athletes know what is expected.  By setting these age appropriate standards, and providing athletes meaningful training sessions and activities to engage in, our athletes are afforded an enormous opportunity to further develop and learn.

Our athletes are put in a positive environment that promotes personal growth and team unity.

We do not charge players during trials soon as they pick their interest form and their medical assistant card. It is our responsibility to pick quality players in West Africa, enroll them to higher level of their football career as well as equip them for task ahead of them.
