OUR VALUE

MISSION

SPIRE Academy, a world leader in personal development for students, athletes and individuals, transforms passion into purpose while empowering peak performance in school, sport, work and life.

VISION

To be an international college preparatory community where students develop their unique potential through scholarship, performance, inclusion, resilience and empathy to become inspired leaders and global citizens.

WHAT IS THE SPIRE WAY?

SPIRE is committed to unlocking an individual’s full potential. We integrate professional training, education and competition across a wide variety of sports, disciplines and possible career paths. Sports is our foundation, but our specialty training options will eventually include a wide mix of potential professions as well. From basketball to esports to swimming, track and field, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and wrestling – no other academy can match the diversity of our curriculum offerings. Our academic mission is dedicated to developing the entire individual and to preparing him/her to achieve peak performance in school, at work and in life.

The “SPIRE Way” places equal focus and extra emphasis on the development of strong minds, strong bodies and strong character.

SPIRE Village- PLAYERS Residences Houses

Tell The Reader More

SPIRE Village consists of 2,300 sq. ft. new homes built specifically for SPIRE Academy. Each of the six bedrooms accommodates two twin beds, a nightstand, wardrobe, two study tables with chairs and a shared six-drawer chest. The student lounge has a big screen TV, couch/chairs and a dining room table with chairs for house meetings. There are three student bathrooms and a washer and dryer all readily accessible. Picnic tables and some outdoor sports equipment are in between the houses.

Each house is heated by natural gas, cooled with AC, has LED lighting, is well insulated, fully sprinkled and all student rooms have their own unique entry key. All buildings are handicapped accessible.

Houses have weekly resident meetings designed around personal growth topics and are jointly run by a student living in the house and the house parent. There are activities planned where all houses work together on internal and external community projects and some fun competitions between houses for prizes.

A house parent occupies a one-bedroom apartment in each building, complete with kitchen, dining/living area and full bath.

Our house parents are fully trained in safety precautions.

House parents are trained to serve in loco parentis -- which includes establishing impactful relationships that result in students’ respect, trust and willingness to seek advice and share information of a sensitive nature while emulating each behavior expected of their students. They demonstrate support for students by attending activities outside of the dorm (classroom, athletics, clubs, etc.), continuously assessing student performance to identify those who could benefit from additional support.

In partnership with student prefects and our Activities Coordinator, house parents help organize weekly excursions to local venues, as well as off-campus field trips and enrichment activities. Because we stress the importance of community both on and off campus, SPIRE students have opportunities to partner with local organizations on impactful projects that benefit the entire Geneva area!

SPIRE ACADEMY | PLAYERS LIFE

Tell The Reader More

Academy boarding and day students spend approximately half the day (4-5 hours) being coached by seasoned educators as well as experienced professionals in specialty fields. These academic and business experts will share their combined knowledge, expertise and compassionate guidance.

As students work to embrace core academic material, they also gain valuable hands on experience in areas meant to inspire them toward possible professional paths. In addition, students grow in their understanding of self and learn to work well with others, while achieving personal goals and gaining a better understanding of where they will fit in the world.

The balance of a student’s day (4-5 hours) will be spent pursuing their area of personal passion (i.e. a particular sport or esport). Included within this technical and tactical skill development training program is an integrated amount of performance training, which encompasses physical conditioning, mental skills training and nutrition/hydration guidance.
